SFA Chapter 82 Quarterly Meeting Minutes

08/19/06

On 16 August, the Chapter was treated to one of the finest picnics at Frank and LaVern Baker's home, in Kimberling City, MO. All was also treated to a tour of Frank's antique automobile collection. The man had a never ending task of upkeep and maintenance. Congratulations Frank!

We sincerely wish to thank Frank and LaVern for their hospitality, and the revelry we had, not to mention the outstanding food provided by the host/hostess, and Chapter. We had a real fine presence of attendance, which consisted of, Jim and Jane Rougeau, Pete and Debbie Rothrock, Joe Garner and friend, Al and Pauline Bodkin, Chuck and Mary Schantag, John Simpers, Dave and Reba Bowden (C-27), Marvin Norwood and wife (Guest), and Jim and Marilyn Ringland. Sadly, to say, the acting secretary failed to put out a sign-in sheet, so, unfortunately, the correct spelling or missed names, may stand to be corrected. During the meeting, it was determined to hold one more at Pete Rothrock's, which was set up for the 16th of September. A search was conducted for officers, for the next two years.

On the 16th of September, an equally good time was held at the home of Pete and Debbie Rothrock, on the Pomm De Terre Lake, waterfront. Pete has an outstanding site, in that his neighbors are the Park, Rangers, and Water Authority Systems. Not too shabby a deal at all.

Pete, prepared plenty of meats on his several grills. The Chapter and wives provided the rest of the "fixings." All in all, a good time was had by the few that attended. In attendance was, Karl and Elizabeth Petersen, Dave and Reba Bowden (C-27), Pete and Deb Rothrock, Steve and Judy Chaffins, Al and Pauline Bodkin, and Jim and Marilyn Ringland.

We held a meeting, primarily to pick who would lead the organization for the next two years. It was decided that Pete Rothrock would "run" for the Presidency and John Simpers would "run" for the office of Secretary.

Respectfully Submitted,

Jim Ringland, D571L, Prez.
